How to play in FIFA 20 Extra Time
This is something that you will face EVERY weekend at some point (if you play every weekend, that is!). Even if you qualify through the tournaments, rather than previous weekend position or Seasons play, you’ll end up going to Extra Time at some stage. Therefore, it’s extremely important to know how to manage this 30 minute period. Here U4GM FIFA 20 Coins Team will share How to play in FIFA 20 Extra Time for you.
Play cautious (if you’re good at penalties)
There’s no point in putting yourself in a position where you’re unnecessarily chasing the game. We have mentioned, several times, that it’s vital not to concede early. This is even more important in extra time. You have less time to turn it around AND your players will be more tired which means it’s harder to break down the opposition. A lot of people will go to park the bus/ultra-defensive as soon as they score in extra time which again, leaves fewer gaps for you to expose. Even if you’re not great at penalties, we still recommend that you play fairly cautious in extra time.
Go for it (if you’re poor at penalties)
If you’ve got the edge over your opponent, you’re confident to attack, your players have better stamina, then go for the win by all means. It isn’t that uncommon that you’ll fancy your chance and you’ll have 90 previous minutes to work out whether you were unlucky, to be at this stage or you were lucky to come away with the draw at the end of 90 minutes. If you’re poor at penalties, this can be another reason to go for the win. Try pressure your opponent and get an early goal in extra time. If you can achieve this then it really puts pressure onto your opponent and they will start making mistakes.
Make changes
If you haven’t already, Extra time is the perfect time to make some impact subs who can go on and win you the game. If you refer back to earlier in this guide we gave some great advice on how to build your team effectively. Players with pace to attack tired full-backs or poachers in the box often work well.
Tip: If you have CDM’s or CB’s in your subs list then at the start of Extra Time, make 2 attacking changes. If you get an early goal then go ahead and make the third and look where in your backline, you need to make a change. A CDM can do a job at either FB or CB, no problem. They will easier do a better job than a player who has minimal stamina left.
