Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands is great, but the Season Pass is a real cheek

Admittedly, as a Borderland fan I have quite high demands when it comes to DLCs. After all, developer Gearbox has delivered some of the best DLCs in the past four games in the series that I have ever played: from that of the wonderfully turned Claptasian travel expansion to the amazingly emotional (and of course no less turned off) Tina’s Sturm on the kite fortress — It was not for nothing that the latter was so popular that he served as a template for Tina’s Wonderlands.

I am now all the more disappointed with the Wonderlands Season Pass and the DLCs it contains. Because my expectations were just too high and I can’t help but feel a bit cheated.

I’m so much more used to Borderlands

With Schlemmer-Schaharade, Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands has freshly received the second of his four DLCs in the Season Pass. As in the first DLC, winding prison is also about going through a dungeon and ultimately defeating a crunchy boss, which will be stronger for three weeks. Although there are also a few scraps of story to the Boss Imelda on the edge, it is mainly about getting new loot. In addition, the DLC is played through in less than half an hour.

The whole thing feels more like a free event in the game than after extra content, especially at a cost of almost 10 euros per DLC (or around 30 euros for all four DLCs in the Season Pass.) For comparison: Tiny Tina’s mentioned at the beginning Sturm on the kite fortress also costs me 10 euros and provides me with 5–8 hours of play with several missions and a great story.

Eleen was looking forward to Wonderlands like a schnitzel, after all, Tiny Tina’s storm is at the kite fortress one of her favorite DLCs ever. With the game itself, she also had a lot of fun (despite technical problems here and there), but is all the more disappointed with the extensions.

Precisely because many of the DLCs have been so great for Borderlands titles in the past, the paid additional content for Wonderlands somehow feels like a fracture of trust-after all, I, like many other fans, expect the DLCs again this time an interesting story or at least would deliver proper content for their money. And here I don’t get any of both .

Where Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands is great and I enjoyed a lot of fun, the Season Pass is rather a waste of time for me. If the third DLC fails as well as its two predecessors, I will probably no longer turn the game for it. This is all the more sad for me, since I would only like to spend more for a good Wonderlands DLC. But so I have the feeling that I pass my money with the season pass.

What do you think of the DLCs to Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands? Are you just as disappointed as I do, or do you have more fun?
